Raptors shut out at St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team was defeated by St. Lawrence University, 5-0, in a Liberty League game on Friday.

The Saints (8-4 overall, 3-2 Liberty League) opened the scoring in the eighth minute, when senior Kaleigh White (Middleton, MA) pounced on a rebound in front. It remained 1-0 until late in the half, when St. Lawrence got goals from Nikkie Sirotiak (Ridgefield, CT) and Megan Gannon (Williston, VT) in the 38th and 44th minutes, respectively.

Shots were 14-3 in favor of the hosts and it was 3-0 at the break.

White scored her second goal of the game in the 53rd minute, and Julia Mulhern (Beaconsfield, Quebec) closed the scoring in the 71st minute.

For Bard, Hattie Wilder Karlstrom and Avalon Qian each produced shots on goal early in the game, and Tessa Greenhalgh made nine saves.

The Raptors (7-5, 1-4 Liberty League) remain in the North Country for another Liberty League game on Saturday. The match at Clarkson will begin at 2 p.m. Follow it live right here.
