UNION, N.J. – The Bard College men's volleyball team was swept by Kean University in a non-conference match on Friday night.
Set scores for Kean were 25-17, 25-20, and 25-14. The Cougars improved to 13-5.
Bard had brief early leads in both the first and second set, but Kean won both comfortably. In the third set, the Cougars hit .294 and built a 19-10 lead before closing it out, 25-14.
Nicholas Buseski (Chicago, IL) led Kean with nine kills. Steve Schrank (Lindenhurst, NY) had 22 assists.
Jesse Small had six kills to lead the Raptors, along with four digs.
Mahir Sheikh had 10 assists, while
Kai Bernier-Chen had seven assists and seven digs.
Tyler Zowaski led Bard with 14 digs.
The Raptors (2-13) travel Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa.,for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday.
