ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College men's volleyball team was swept by second-ranked New Paltz in a United Volleyball Conference match on Wednesday night.
Set scores were 25-11, 25-15, and 25-19 for the Hawks (11-2, 3-0 UVC).
It was close early in the first set, but New Paltz was too much hitting .500 in the opening set. The second set was much closer, as it was tied at nine all. However, the Hawks ran away with the set 25-15.
Bard got down 12-4 in the third set, cut it to 15-9, and eventually lost in, 25-19.
C.J. Borfitz (Inwood, NY) led New Paltz with eight kills and four blocks. Christian Smith (Massapequa, NY) had 31 assists, while Chris Lilley (Stony Brook, NY) and Ryan Cole (Holbrook, NY) had four digs each.

Alex Adams (four blocks) and sophomore
Tyler Zowaski (nine digs) each had three kills to lead Bard. Senior
Kai Bernier-Chen and junior
Mahir Sheikh each had four assists. Senior
