STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost its final non-conference game of the season, 3-0, to the College of Staten Island on Sunday afternoon.
Staten Island (8-4-2) jumped out to an early lead in the 20th minute, when Adrian Cosovic (Staten Island, NY) made a breakaway run with the ball from Bard's backline and finished off the play by curling the ball around keeper
Taylor Bond. Shots were 7-5 in favor of the Dolphins at halftime.
In the second half, it was more of the same, as Staten Island outshot Bard 9-2 and scored twice. In the 59th minute, Dardan Nika (Staten Island, NY) connected on a ball from a corner to the back post, and in the final minute, Nermin Kurtesi (Korle, Germany) scored on a free kick.
Bond make one save in the first half;
Adel Elkafas made one save in the second half. Antonio Lynch (Staten Island, NY) made three saves for the Dolphins.
