Biography

2016: Austin started all 17 games as a senior ... He was one of two captains for the Raptors during the season ... He played 1,279 minutes, during which he recorded 10 points (four goals, two assists) ... He scored twice against Sage College on Sept.14 ... He also scored two game-winning goals for Bard, the first against Mount St. Mary on Sept. 7 and the second against York College on Sept.17... Higgins was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team for the second straight year. 

2015: As a junior, Austin appeared in started in all 17 games, and was in a four-way tie for third on the team with 6 points (2 goals, 2 assists) .... He had two game-winners, including the go-ahead goal during the teams first-ever win over Skidmore on Oct. 27 ... He made the Liberty League All-Academic team and was an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention selection.

2014: Austin played in all 17 games as a sophomore, leading the team with 14 points (6 goals, 2 assists). He had three game-winners, including the header that eventually gave Bard an historic 1-0 win over Clarkson, the program's first Liberty League victory. He was named All-Liberty League Honorable Mention after the season.

2013: As a freshman, Higgins finished second on the team in scoring with four goals and two assists, and was named to the All-Liberty League Second Team. He led the team in shots on goal and was fourth in minutes with 1,435.
