Raptors swept by Skidmore, Clarkson in conference matches

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Bard College women's volleyball team opened Liberty League action with a pair of losses on Friday.

Bard lost, 3-0, to both Skidmore and 18th-ranked Clarkson.

Skidmore swept Bard 25-19, 25-9 and 25-18.

The Thoroughbreds got 13 kills from freshman Caite Canfield (Blue Ridge, GA) and 16 assists from Sam Abrams (Anaheim Hills, CA).

For Bard, freshman Sofia Koukia had eight kills and six digs, while classmate Victoria Chou contributed 20 assists.

Clarkson swept Bard 25-6, 25-6 and 25-13. Senior Danielle Farabee (Katy, TX) led the winners with nine kills.

Bard got eight kills and five digs from Koukia, plus five kills from Alexis Akingbade.

The Raptors return to action on Saturday with a pair of Liberty League matches at Union College. They'll play St. Lawrence at noon, then Union at 2. Follow both matches via Live Stats right here.
