JP Fisher, and the Violets added a run on a fielder's choice to make it 4-2.
With one out in the top of the ninth, NYU strung together three straight singles to load the bases. Adrian Spitz (Los Angeles, CA) hit a sacrifice fly to make it 5-2, and CJ Picerni followed with a two-run double to increase the lead to 7-2.
The Raptors scored twice in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI groundout by Fisher, and a double by
Adam Carafotes, but the deficit was too big to overcome.

Over 7.1 innings, Fisher gave up eight hits and two earned runs, walking two and striking out six. He also went 2-for-5 with a triple.

David Schlosser went 3-for-5. Schlosser has a 12-game hitting streak and is now batting .427.
