ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Friday, the first day of the Bard Raptors Tournament.

Bard lost to College of Mount St. Vincent, 3-0, then swept College of Staten Island.

Mount St. Vincent defeated Bard 25-13, 25-22 and 27-25. Tyler Cucullu (Henderson, NV) led the winners with 10 kills and hit. 500.

For Bard, Jesse Small had eight kills and hit .438. Alex Adams added six kills and six digs, Joseph Stier had 19 assists and Tyler Zowaski had seven digs.

The Raptors later beat Staten Island, 25-7, 25-23 and 25-22. Small had 10 kills, Adams had eight kills and eight digs, and Stier had another 19 assists. Bard is 4-12.

Every match on the first day of the tournament was a sweep. Below are the results and Saturday's schedule.
