TROY, N.Y. – The Bard College women's volleyball team was swept by Sage on Tuesday night during a non-conference match.
Set scores for the winners were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-11.
After trailing for much of the first set and losing it, the Raptors led most of the second set and were up 18-15, then 21-19, before Sage put together six straight points to pull it out, 25-21. The Gators (13-7) hit .304 in the final set and it was never close.
Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY) led Sage with nine kills and two blocks. Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY) had 24 assists, and Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY) had 14 digs and three aces.
Sofia Koukia led Bard with 13 kills, and
Kristen Westerduin added six.
Victoria Chou had 26 assists and 12 digs,
Philippine Alba had 10 digs, while
Zoe Morgan-Weinman and
Julia Berry had two aces apiece.
The Raptors (8-13) host a non-league tri-match this weekend with Old Westbury and Castleton. Bard will play Old Westbury at 11 a.m., Old Westbury will play Castleton at 1, and Bard will take on Castleton at 3.
