Bard wraps up Liberty League play with losses to Union, Skidmore

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College women's volleyball team lost a pair of Liberty League matches against Union and Skidmore on Saturday afternoon.
 
Against Union, the set scores were 25-10, 25-7, and 25-17.
 
Kelley White (Sudbury, MA) led the Dutchwomen (22-4, 6-2 LL) with eight kills, while Lauren Woods (Watervliet, NY) and Emma Sprotberry (Burnt Hills, NY) each finished with seven kills. Katherine Moeller (Melrose, NY) had 11 digs, while Amanda Price (Floral Park, NY) finished with 26 assists.
 
Alexis Akingbade and Sofia Koukia had three kills each for Bard. Victoria Chou had nine assists and three digs, while Julia Berry finished with three aces.
 
In their second match of the day against Skidmore (9-17, 3-5), the Raptors played three tight sets, despite being swept. The set scores were 27-25, 25-22, and 25-19.
 
For the Thoroughbreds, Caite Canfield (Blue Ridge, GA) led her team with nine kills, along with eight dig and two aces. Kalle Fox (Miami, FL) had 15 assists and nine digs.
 
For Bard (10-18, 0-12 LL) Koukia had 20 kills, including eight in the third set, with eight digs, and two blocks. Tytravia Riley finished with seven kills and digs, along with five blocks. Chou had 30 assists and 11 digs, while Daniella Azulai had 14 digs. Bard finished with 11 team blocks.
