POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost a pair of Liberty League matches at Vassar College on Friday.
The Raptors were swept by Vassar and RIT to fall to 10-16 overall, 0-10 in the Liberty League.
Vassar got by Bard 25-11, 25-21 and 25-21. After a poor first set, Bard played Vassar evenly in the second and third sets, holding leads of 20-19 in the second set, and 20-18 in the third set, before being unable to close either set out.
Vassar got 10 kills from sophomore Bria Corham (Kansas City, MO), 18 assists from Sophia Tiajoloff (Kinnelon, NJ) and 16 digs from Chloe Hallum (Olympia, WA).
Bard got eight kills and 12 digs from
Sofia Koukia, 15 assists, two aces and eight digs from
Victoria Chou, and 14 digs and three assists from
Philippine Alba.
RIT improved to 15-11 overall and 4-1 in the Liberty League with a 25-22, 25-16 and 25-14 sweep. Sarah Szybist (Chicago, IL) had 16 kills for the winners.
For Bard, Koukia had seven kills and four digs; Chou had 18 assists and four digs, and Alba had nine digs.
