ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Bard College baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to the University of Rochester on Sunday, 11-2 and 18-0.

Bard is 3-14-1 overall and 0-8-1 in the Liberty League; Rochester, which swept all four games in the series, is 14-12, 10-6.

Rochester pitching dominated the day, as freshman David Strandberg (Weekawken, NJ) pitched a seven-inning complete game no-hitter in the first game. Bard's best opportunity to break up the no-hit bid came in the sixth, when third baseman Brian Munoz (Round Rock, TX) snagged a screaming liner off the bat of Alec Montecalvo.

Munoz and Lance Hamilton (Nashville, TN) had two hits and two RBI apiece. Bard scored both runs in the fifth on a pair of walks, a throwing error on a double steal, and a wild pitch.

The Yellowjackets jumped on Bard starter Gabe Kleiman in the second game, scoring one in the first and eight in the second. Kleiman yielded five hits and four walks in 1.1 innings, but only one of the nine runs was earned. Bard committed a season-high eight errors in the game.

Sophomore Matt Todd (Poughkeepsie, NY) gave up two hits over seven innings, walking two and striking out six to get the win. Josh Ludwig (Victor, NY) had two hits and three RBI for the winners.

Montecalvo, Zach Ward and Sam Grumet had Bard's only hits.

The Raptors have three Liberty League series remaining in the 2014 season. They'll host Clarkson for a pair of doubleheaders at Dutchess Stadium next weekend; then they'll play home-and-home doubleheaders with RPI on Apr. 26-27, and Vassar on May 3-4.
