BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday, defeating St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and losing to host Brooklyn College.
The Raptors were swept by Brooklyn College by set scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-22.
The Bulldogs hit .400 in the first set and .228 for the match, while Bard hit .122. Brooklyn got nine kills from junior Vaughn Ford (Brooklyn, NY), and 27 assists and 11 digs from senior Timothy Hui (St. Paul, MN).
Billy Williams led Bard with 12 kills (.346) and eight digs, and
Mahir Sheikh handed out 27 assists.
Then the Raptors swept St. Joseph's-Brooklyn 25-13, 25-15 and 25-17.
Alex Adams had nine kills and hit .471;
Daniel Gagne had five kills and 11 digs; Williams had five kills and 10 digs, and Kasiske had 23 assists.
Brooklyn College is 11-10; St. Joseph's-Brooklyn is 3-8; Bard is 7-19.
The Raptors have a break until Apr. 1, when they host Sage in a non-league match. It'll be Senior Day for Williams and Kasiske.
