ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team was swept by third-ranked New Paltz in a United Volleyball Conference match on Wednesday night.
Set scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-19.
Sophomore Christopher Husmann (Massapequa, NY) led the New Paltz attack with 12 kills, 10 digs and a .574 hitting percentage. The Hawks hit .357, while Bard hit .038.
Sophomore Kevin Nardone (Port Washington, NY) added 33 assists and 10 digs for the winners. New Paltz is 11-1 overall, 5-0 in the UVC.
Bard (3-7, 1-4 UVC) got six kills and six digs from
Jesse Small, and 17 assists and six digs from
Henry Kasiske.
Both teams are headed to the Springfield Invitational this weekend, where they will play top-ranked Rivier, second-ranked Springfield, Johnson & Wales and each other again.
