ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost to Sage College, 3-0, in a non-league match on Wednesday night.
Set scores for the visitors were 25-23, 25-7 and 25-6.
The first set was tight. Sage hit .469 and Bard hit .387, but the Gators broke a 22-22 tie with an ace from Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY) and a kill from Helen Putriment (Troy, NY). After a kill by
Kaylynn Tran pulled Bard to within 24-23, Mickey Mango (Saragota Springs, NY) produced a kill to give Sage the set.
Sage (17-4) hit .632 in the second set, winning it 25-7, and Bard made 13 hitting errors in the third set, which ended 25-6.
 Putriment and Mango had 11 kills apiece for the winners.
Tran and
Tytravia Riley had five kills apiece for Bard.
Lexi Cooper had 11 assists, and
Philippine Alba led with 15 digs.
The Raptors (2-22) next host CCNY and University of St. Joseph for a tri-match on Saturday.
