ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team did something on Saturday it hadn't done all year.
The Raptors rallied from a set down to win. Bard topped City College of New York, 3-1, then later lost to University of St. Joseph, 3-1.
Set scores against CCNY were 15-25, 28-26, 25-18 and 25-19, as the Raptors played one of their best matches of the season.
Tytravia Riley led the way with 10 kills.
Philippine Alba was terrific with eight kills, two aces and 20 digs.
Lexi Cooper had 27 assists, and
Daniella Azulai added 10 digs.
University of St. Joseph defeated Bard 19-25, 25-15, 25-17 and 25-16. In that match, Riley had 14 kills and hit .393, but it wasn't enough. Cooper had 26 assists, Alba had 11 digs,
Sarah Peskin had 10 digs, and
Amy Kassowitz had nine digs.
Bard (3-23) will next play at Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday night.
