CANTON, N.Y. - Even the longest journey begins with a single step, it is said.
The Bard College women's volleyball team took that step on Saturday, taking a set from Skidmore College before eventually losing, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23 and 25-15. It's the first conference set victory for the Raptors since Bard joined the Liberty League in 2011.
Tytravia Riley led Bard with 12 kills and 13 digs against Skidmore.
Julia Berry had 20 digs and
Lexi Cooper had 30 assists.
Zoe Morgan-Weinman had great match with eight kills and a .500 hitting percentage.
Later, Bard lost to 12th-ranked Clarkson, 25-16, 25-12 and 25-13. Riley and
Philippine Alba had five kills apiece, Cooper had 11 assists, and
Sarah Peskin had 12 digs.
