CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bard College men's volleyball team was swept by 12th-ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United Volleyball Conference opener for both teams on Monday night.
MIT, the newest member of the UVC, defeated Bard, 3-0, by set scores of 25-12, 25-6 and 25-13.
The Engineers, 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the UVC, got eight kills (.462) from freshman Martin Krasuski (Aurora, IL), 22 assists from senior Evan Wang (Saratoga, CA), and seven digs apiece from Brendan Chang (Laytonsville, MD) and Paul Syta (Fairport, NY). MIT hit .465 as a team.
Bard (1-4, 0-1 UVC) got eight kills from 
Billy Williams, and 16 assists and seven digs from 
Henry Kasiske.
The Raptors are back on the road on Wednesday for a non-league match at Elms College at 7 p.m.
