Carroll runs past Bard, 15-4

Dominic Stegall made his first collegiate start on Wednesday.

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Bard College baseball team was defeated by Carroll University, 15-4, on Wednesday.

Carroll (6-5) scored at least one run in each of the first five innings and stole 13 bases in a game shortened to seven innings by the 10-run rule.

Bard freshman Dominic Stegall, making his first collegiate start, had given up four runs over three and one-third innings before leaving with an elbow injury. He doubled in his only at-bat.

Carroll freshman Tyler Schovanec (Lubbock, TX) went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.

Tyler Emel went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Ryan Conklin drove in pair of runs for Bard, 3-5.

Up next for the Raptors is a Thursday morning contest with the University of Chicago in Winter Park, Fla. First pitch is 11 a.m.
