AUBURNDALE, Fla. - A walk-off RBI single by Tom Danz highlighted Bard's doubleheader split with Crown College on Monday afternoon.

Bard won the first game, 1-0, and lost the second game, 15-2.

Alec Montecalvo tossed a three-hitter in Game 1, striking out eight and walking one. Adam Flowers, who just returned this weekend from a foot injury, led off the bottom of the seventh with a single and moved to second base on a single by Andres Medina. Elliot Garcia pinch-ran for Flowers, and Medina and Garcia executed a double-steal to put runners on second and third for Danz. Danz singled to end the game.

Montecalvo and Medina each went 2-for-3 in the first game; Montecalvo doubled twice.

Crown (1-5) banged out 18 hits in the second game and it was never close. Bard managed just three hits, including another hit from Montecalvo and a triple from Danz.

Bard (3-4) has Tuesday off before continuing the Florida trip with a game against Carroll University on Wednesday afternoon at 3. The Raptors will play University of Chicago on Thursday and Fontbonne on Friday.
