Volleyball wins one, loses one in final home tri-match of 2013

Freshman Jesse Small had 11 kills and hit .786 against Purchase on Saturday.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team split a tri-match in the final home event of the 2013 season on Saturday.

The Raptors swept Purchase, 3-0, then were swept by City College of New York, 3-0. Bard is 9-17.

In the first match, set scores for Bard over Purchase were 25-12, 25-17 and 25-21. Freshman Jesse Small had 11 kills and hit .786, adding three aces and eight digs to a fine performance. Henry Kasiske had 30 assists and Jose Mendez added eight digs. Purchase is 1-15.

Against CCNY, Bard lost 25-18, 25-19 and 25-21. Billy Williams had 10 kills, and Henry Kasiske had 24 assists and 13 digs. The real problem was CCNY, which hit .457. The Beavers are 11-13.

Bard has one weekend of volleyball left. The Raptors will participate in the MIT Scramble Apr. 5-6 in Cambridge, Mass.
