Bard earns sweep on first day of Raptors Tournament

Billy Williams had 14 kills and hit .480 in Friday's victory over Mount St. Vincent.
Box Score ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team defeated former Skyline Conference foe Mount St. Vincent, 3-0, on the first day of the Bard Raptors Tournament on Friday night.

Set scores for Bard were 25-17, 25-16 and 25-18.

Bard, 3-11, jumped out early in all three sets and was never really threatened. As a team, the Raptors didn't hit the ball especially well (.167) but junior Billy Williams had a good night, hitting .480 with 14 kills and eight digs.

Freshman Zach Nussdorf added eight kills, Henry Kasiske had 28 assists and eight digs, and Jose Mendez led the Raptors with nine digs.

College of Mount St. Vincent fell to 2-6 with the loss, then later fell to 2-7 with a 3-1 loss to Keuka College.
