JAMAICA, N.Y. - The Bard College men's and women's swimming teams swept a double-dual meet with York College and Mount St. Vincent on Friday night, earning the first victories in the short history of both programs.

The Bard men beat Mount St. Vincent, 66-9, and topped York, 57-29. The Bard women's beat York 62-18, and edged Mount St. Vincent, 44-42.

Emily Hoelzli and Scott Vander Veen were each double-winners for Bard. Hoelzli won the 200-free and the 500-free; Vander Veen prevailed in the 200-free and the 500-free as well.

Individual winners for the Raptors were Melissa Lisbao-Underwood (200-IM), Josh Hodge (200-IM), Max McKee (100-free), Haley Goss-Holmes (100-back) and Theo Black (100-back). Both 200-free relay teams won. For the women, that included Julia Marx, Hannah McCarley, Emily Hoelzli and Melissa Lisbao-Underwood. The men's team was comprised of Josh Hodge, Max McKee, Scott Vander Veen and Theo Black.

Bard will next travel to SUNY Delhi for the Delhi Fall Invitational next weekend.
