Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Eliminate the last few minutes of each half, and Bard beats Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday.
But RIT put together an 11-2 run at the end of the first half, and a 13-3 run at the end of the game to pull out a 64-57 Liberty League men's basketball victory over the Raptors.

For the second straight game, Bard shot the ball well but was dominated on the boards. In fact, the Raptors hit 6-of-9 three-pointers in the first half and a season-high 11 in the game. But RIT had a 31-21 edge in rebounding, and 13 of those 31 were on the offensive glass.
Bard was up eight with five minutes left in the first half, but ended up trailing, 31-30 at the break.

Frank Stortini culminated an 8-0 Bard run with a jumper to give the Raptors a 51-48 lead with 5:23 left in the game. Even after RIT tied it at 51, sophomore
Chris McNaughton hit a three-pointer to make it 54-51 with 4:37 left.
RIT responded with six straight points, but McNaughton tied it again from long distance, making it 57-57 with 2:00 showing on the scoreboard.
Bard didn't score again.
RIT sophomore Scott Desmond (Murphy, TX) hit a three-pointer with 1:41 left to make it 60-57. Bard missed a pair of three-point attempts, first with 26 seconds left, and another with 17 seconds left after getting a stop, and RIT hit a few foul shots to finish the scoring in the waning seconds.
Bard shot 51 percent from the floor but didn't get to the foul line once. RIT shot 45 percent from the floor and made 10-of-14 free throws to win its second in a row after losing seven straight.
RIT (6-11 overall, 2-6 Liberty League) got 20 points, five rebounds and two blocks from junior Jameel Balenton (Syracuse, NY).
Bard (4-13, 1-9 Liberty League) got 14 from McNaughton, 12 from
Lamar Powell, and 10 from
Siondueh Burnette.
Frank Stortini added four points, six rebounds and five assists.
