Hot-hitting Raptors top Yeshiva

Eliah Gardner had a season-high 14 kills in Sunday's win over Yeshiva.
NEW YORK, N.Y. - Nick Chan was unstoppable on Sunday.

In fact, the .340 hitting percentage the Bard College men's volleyball team produced on Sunday at Yeshiva was its second-best performance of the season, and it led to a 3-1 win over the Maccabees.

Bard defeated Yeshiva 25-21, 21-25, 25-11 and 25-21 to improve to 7-14 overall.

Senior Nick Chan had 22 kills (.594) , six assists, four aces and 10 digs, and Eliah Gardner had 14 kills (season-high for him) and 11 digs as the Raptors hit over .500 in the final two sets. Andrew Cortrite led the Raptors with 20 digs, while Henry Kasiske had four kills, 39 assists and 12 digs.

Yeshiva is 8-15.

Up next for Bard is a United Volleyball Conference match in Utica on Wednesday night against SUNY Institute of Technology. The Raptors are 0-9 in the UVC.
