POTSDAM, N.Y. - Once again, the game was there in the second half, and once again, Bard couldn't get over the hump.
The Raptors lost to Clarkson, 82-70, on Saturday afternoon, in a game they never led but were in throughout.

After a close first half that finished with the Golden Knights holding a four-point lead, Bard cut it to two, 38-36, less than two minutes into the second half.
The key juncture in the game followed. Over the next four minutes, Clarkson outscored Bard, 13-3, and the Raptors had to battle to just stay within striking distance the rest of the way. They got down by as many as 17, then put together a 10-2 run to trim the lead to 68-59 with 5:19 left in the game.
Bard cut it to seven with 2:09 left, but couldn't get closer. The Golden Knights went 8-for-8 from the foul line in the last minute (16-for-18 for the game) and improved to 15-8 overall, 8-6 in the Liberty League.
Clarkson was led by senior Felix Llanos (Queens, NY), who had 21 points, and sophomore Marques Charlton (Deer Park, NY), who had 12. Sophomore Nate Uline (Gansevoort, NY) added 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Knights next face Union on Friday night in Schenectady.
Bard (4-18, 1-12) was led by freshman
Siondueh Burnette, who went 9-for-10 from the field and finished with 19 points and six rebounds.
Matt Shubert added 16 points, and freshman
Jose Canario chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes.
The Raptors next host Vassar on Tuesday night at 8.
