CANTON, N.Y. - It was a game of runs, and St. Lawrence simply outran Bard on Friday night.
An 18-3 run over the last six minutes of the first half proved to be too much to overcome, as Bard lost to St. Lawrence, 79-59, in a Liberty League game.

Bard missed nine of its first 10 shots and was down, 14-4, after about eight minutes of action. The Raptors responded, however, and eventually tied it, 16-16, after a 12-2 run of their own.
The Saints (14-8 overall, 10-4 Liberty League) then put together an 18-3 run and led by 15 at halftime. The lead was 18 early in the second half when Bard put together another couple of runs to keep the game within striking distance.
After scoring 19 points in the first half, Bard (4-17, 1-11) scored 19 points in the first eight minutes of the second half, trimming that 18-point lead to seven, twice. The last time was with 12:09 left in the game.
A 10-0 run by St. Lawrence pushed the lead back up to 17, and Bard didn't get closer than 13 the rest of the way.
St. Lawrence was led by senior Garrett Sharlow (Massena, NY), who had 18 points and nine rebounds, and senior Ralph Temgoua (Paris, France), who finished with 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. The Saints host Vassar on Saturday afternoon at 4.
