Bard falls to 1-3 with loss to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn

Sophomore Jose Canario had 13 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes of action on Tuesday night.
Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team, playing without leading scorer Siondueh Burnette, lost a non-league game to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 75-58, on Tuesday night.

Burnette, who is nursing a leg injury, did not play.

Bard (1-3) fell behind 11-2 early, then rallied and cut the deficit to 22-20 with 6:25 left in the first half. But over those last six minutes and the first six minutes of the second half, the Bears (6-3) outscored Bard, 29-9, and put the game away.

The Bears got 14 points and nine rebounds from sophomore David Louison (Brooklyn, NY), and 12 points and 13 rebounds from freshman Michael Megafu (Brooklyn, NY). St. Joseph's scored 18 points off Bard turnovers and scored 20 second-chance points.

Bard got 13 points and five rebounds from sophomore Jose Canario in 20 minutes of action; Chris McNaughton added 10 points, and Frank Stortini had six points and 10 rebounds.
