Bard rides fast start to win over Pacifica

Sophomore Siondueh Burnette had 24 points and eight rebounds in a victory over Pacifica on Friday night.
Box Score AZUSA, Calif. - The Bard College men's basketball team jumped out to a 29-8 lead and never looked back en route to a 70-54 victory over Pacifica University on Friday night.

The Raptors (3-3) shot 50 percent from the field in the first half while holding the Gladiators (0-13) to 25 percent over the same period of time. It was 45-21 at the break.

Sophomore Siondueh Burnette led the way for Bard with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot. He made 10-of-15 shots from the field. Senior co-captain Frank Stortini added 13 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals, while junior Lamar Powell chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists. Sophomore Chris McNaughton added nine points.

Freshman Adam Tolbert (Riverside, CA) led Pacifica with 12 points.
