Bard defeated by William Smith

Freshman Liz Freud had eight points and five rebounds in a loss to William Smith on Saturday.
GENEVA, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to William Smith College, 73-22, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.

Eleven different players scored for the Herons (8-7 overall, 4-2 Liberty League), including four in double figures, led by junior guard Jaimie Rubin (Demarest, NJ), who finished with 12 points. William Smith shot 44 percent for the field for the game, forced 22 Bard turnovers, and won the rebounding battle 52-24.

The Herons next play on Friday at RPI.

Bard (1-14, 0-6) got eight points and five rebounds from Liz Freud, and five points, six rebounds and two blocks from Imani Jones. The Raptors next host Clarkson on Friday at 6.
