POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard men's squash team took on Columbia and Vassar on Saturday and lost each match, 9-0.
Columbia, the 20th-ranked team in the latest College Squash Association poll, had an excellent day, defeating Northeastern, Vassar and Bard to improve to 8-2 overall.

Andrew Hoffman-Patalona (Livingston Manor, NY) took the first game against Columbia's Tommy Brosius at No. 5 singles, but lost, 3-1.
Vassar also beat Bard, 9-0, and this time it was Bard senior Alex Vladoi (Bucharest, Romania) who managed to take a game. He held a brief lead at No. 4 singles after winning the first game against Vassar's Annseer Sadiq, but he eventually lost, 3-1.
Bard, 0-8, next travels to Middlebury College on Feb. 12.
