POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches on Saturday, first to Mount Saint Mary, then to Vassar.

The Raptors lost, 3-1, to Mount Saint Mary, by scores of 25-8, 25-19, 22-25 and 25-16. In that match, junior Rachel Van Horn (Lawrence, KS) had 11 kills, two aces and five digs; junior Jessica Philpott (Hot Springs, VA) contributed 29 assists. Also, sophomore Freggy Hernandez (Caracas, Venezuela) and senior Iga Mrozek (New Orleans, LA) chipped in with 16 and 10 digs, respectively.

Bard lost to Vassar, 3-0, by scores of 25-5, 25-9 and 25-17. In that match, Hernandez had 11 digs and sophomore Fiona Do Thi (Warsaw, Poland) collected 18 assists.

Bard, 6-13 overall, next plays at Purchase on Wednesday in a Skyline Conference match.
