Paul LaBarbera returns for his sixth season as an assistant coach.
Paul has a knack for teaching players how to improve, not only technically
and tactically, but also in terms of confidence and mental toughness.
As the Red Hook Soccer Club’s Director for Player Development, and
Head Coach of Girls Under-11 Heatwave, Paul knows soccer skill
development. His easygoing personality and perceptive manner enable
him to work with players very effectively. He preaches patience,
passion, and positive thinking.
He holds a National D license. He currently plays men's recreational soccer in Red Hook. He speaks Norwegian, and is a huge fan of both the Norwegian and U.S. men's and women's national teams.
Paul works at Bard as the college’s Sound and Video Engineer. He resides in Red Hook with his wife, Susanne, and his three children.
