Max Sass joined the Bard coaching staff in the spring of 2013.
A native of Livingston, N.J., Sass graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism in 2012. Currently, he is an MBA candidate at Hofstra at the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.
Max spent the 2012-13 season as a graduate assistant for the Hofstra University men's basketball team. He assisted with day-to-day operations, academic and off-the-court oversight, video scouting preparation, practice preparation, travel arrangements and more. He also overhauled the team's social media presence.
While at Hofstra, Max went from being Sports Editor of the of the Hofstra Chronicle, the school newspaper, to Editor-in-Chief over the course of his time there. He has done freelance sportswriting for The New York Daily News, Newsday and the Philadelphia Inquirer, among other media outlets.
