Ed Kahovec arrived at Bard in the summer of 2012.
A native of Victor, N.Y., Kahovec came to Bard from the University of Rochester, where he was a player for four years and an assistant coach for four years.
As a player, Kahovec made the All-University Athletic Association First Team twice, and the All-Liberty League First Team once. He batted .372 in his senior year, leading the Yellowjackets to the regular season Liberty League title.
He was an assistant at the University of Rochester for three years, where among other duties, he was responsible for recruiting. He was part of the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year in 2009.
Kahovec was also a member of the New York State Class A Public High School championship team at Victor High School in his senior year.
