Gallery: (9-19-2026) Women's Soccer vs William Paterson
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard College women's soccer team fell to the William Paterson Pioneers 2-0 during their Morgan's Message game on Saturday afternoon at Ferrari Field.
In the first half, both teams generated great scoring opportunities. At the 10:31 mark, the Pioneers forced Thayden Hamilton Howard to make a tough save in the bottom right. Just under five minutes later, Hamilton-Howard made another save in the low center. At the 25:18 mark,
Kaia Brady helped out Hamilton-Howard defensively, pushing away a shot on target. The Pioneers scored three minutes later off a corner.
Mahlia Slaiby caught the defense on its heels at the 34:02 mark, but just missed. Another near-miss occurred with around five minutes remaining, as
Brooke Egrestis hit the post.
Melania Hracs gathered the rebound, but her shot was saved.
To begin the second half, William Paterson generated a corner, but the Bard defense held strong. Egrestis had a great chance 9:55 into the second half, sprinting down the right side of the field and getting a one-on-one shot on goal. The Pioneers made it 2-0 at the 57:44 mark as they put through a ball that ricocheted off the post. At the 79:20 mark,
Julianna LaFond made an excellent save on a fast-paced shot. However, Bard did not score and William Paterson kept possession towards the end of the game.
Hamilton-Howard finished with five saves and LaFond gathered three.

Natalie Wing, and
Goldie Siff played all 90 minutes.
Bard starts Liberty League action at Vassar on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
