ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Bard College men's tennis player Daniel Hsu and women's volleyball player Xenia Vassou were named the Raptors of the Week on Tuesday.

The men's tennis team went 2-0 this week and beat Pratt 4-3 after falling to them 3-4 last year. Hsu got the clinch in both matches, defeating Marywood 6-0, 6-3 and Pratt 6-3, 7-5, coming back from 5-2 down in the second set. His successful start to his career also included a 6-2 win in doubles with Jackson Brent against Marywood.
Vassou hit .375 with eight kills versus Sarah Lawrence and then hit .364 against MCLA along with four aces to help women's volleyball get the win. She also made her way into the top 10 of the Liberty League in hitting percentage. Vassou has continuously been a spark for the offense and when she plays well, people follow.

Bard Athletics' Raptors of the Week program recognizes excellent performances and contributions from student-athletes in their traditional seasons of competition. Nominations from Head Coaches are received and evaluated by Athletics Administrators who determine the weekly winners.
