ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— Four members of the Bard College men's tennis team were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 season. The team was also recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team.

The four students honored were first-years Blake Kendall and Peter Trimble, and seniors Faisal Jones and Thanasis Kostikas.

First-year Blake Kendall is studying anthropology. He played 17 singles and 18 doubles matches in his first year, and he won a match at No. 2 singles and No. 3 singles, as well as three wins at No. 4 singles. Kendall also won at each doubles spot, winning at No. 1 with Nick Oh against WestConn, No. 2 with Trimble against Delhi, and at No. 3 with Ciaran Chamberlain against York.

First-year Peter Trimble is studying mathematics. He played in 17 singles matches and 18 doubles matches. Along with Oh, Trimble became the first player with at least eight singles wins in a season since Jeff Carter (10) in 1993. He finished the season tied for the team-high in doubles victories, with seven. Trimble competed primarily at No. 5 singles, going 5-7; he also went 5-7 at No. 3 doubles while notching wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles as well.

Senior Faisal Jones is majoring in economics and music composition. Jones played in 10 singles matches, winning a match at No. 3 singles and No. 4 singles. He played at No. 2 doubles in seven matches and filled the No. 3 doubles spot three times. He is also a two-time member of the CSC Academic All-District team.

Senior Thanasis Kostikas is majoring in mathematics and physics. Kostikas played 18 singles matches and 17 doubles matches. He finished the season tied for the team-high in doubles victories, with seven. He had six singles wins, with five at No. 2 singles and one at No. 4 singles. He is also a three-time member of the CSC Academic All-District team.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
