Kostikas and Chamberlain named to the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-District Team

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College men's tennis team has two 2025-26 Division III Academic All-District honorees, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom. The two students honored are senior Thanasis Kostikas and sophomore Ciaran Chamberlain

Junior Thanasis Kostikas is majoring in mathematics and physics. Kostikas played three matches at No. 1 singles and 14 matches at No. 2 singles. He played at No. 1 doubles seven times, No. 2 doubles three times, and No. 3 doubles seven times. He had the best doubles record, with seven wins. He is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic team member and is now a three-time CSC Academic All-District team member.

Sophomore Ciaran Chamberlain is majoring in politics. Chamberlain played five matches at No. 5 singles and 12 matches at No. 6 singles. He played at No. 1 doubles once, No. 2 doubles nine times, and No. 3 doubles seven times. He is a Liberty League All-Academic team member.

To be recognized on the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and enrolled full-time with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. The student-athletes need to be in the lineup for 75% of the team's total matches, including team scores. The Academic All-District Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators.
