ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard College women's tennis team celebrated senior day versus the Colby-Sawyer Chargers on Sunday, dropping the match 2-5. Paige Houghton, the Raptors' lone senior, was recognized prior to the match.

At No. 1 doubles, Houghton and Catherine Chapel earned three games. Jesse Radzik and Patricia Santos fought hard at No. 2 doubles, falling 0-6. At No. 3 doubles, Natalie Lagunes and Lisa Kyrtoka teamed up for the first time, saving three match points and knotting it up at 5-5 after being down 2-5. However, Colby-Sawyer won 7-5.

Moving on to singles, at the No. 1 spot, Houghton challenged her opponent to make precise shots, and the Charger was able to find the line, winning 6-1, 6-2. Lagunes played a series of good points at No. 2 singles, finishing 0-6, 0-6. At No. 3 singles, Chapel took on the Colby-Sawyer opponent, forcing long rallies but falling short, 0-6, 0-6.

At No. 4 singles, Santos had some great gets, but Colby-Sawyer took control, 1-6, 3-6. At No. 5 singles, Radzik prevented Colby-Sawyer's comeback, winning 6-2, 6-4. Kyrtoka continued to progress at No. 6 singles, defeating the Chargers 6-0, 6-4.

The Raptors will host FDU-Florham in their season finale on Saturday at 12 p.m.
