ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College women's basketball team was within single digits for the majority of the first half, but the Skidmore Thoroughbreds overpowered Bard on Saturday afternoon, 67-31 at Stevenson Athletic Center.

Aislynn Dixon hit three threes for a team-high nine points, adding a team-high four assists, three steals, and a block. Ava Gregory recorded a career-high six steals, the most in a game for a Raptor since the 2018-19 season, when Christina Kiser had six against Vassar.

Shirley Dong contributed five points, four rebounds, three steals, and three assists. Jessica Martin collected five rebounds, a block, and a steal. Lexi MIller had five points, six rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

Erin Tobes tallied two points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal. Morgan Kottka had eight points, hitting 4-of-5 from two, plus two rebounds and an assist.

To start the game, the Raptors forced five Skidmore turnovers and held them to 0-of-6 shooting. Bard had a 5-0 advantage, but the Thoroughbreds settled in and went on an 8-0 run to take the lead. The second quarter heavily favored Skidmore, 19-4. The visitors went 8-of-12 from the field and 3-of-3 from downtown.

The lead ballooned to 24 after Skidmore began the second half on an 8-0 run. At the 2:56 mark, the lead was cut to 21 after a Kottka jumper. In the final stretch, the Thoroughbreds used a 9-0 run to take a 30-point lead into the final frame. In the fourth, Dixon started the scoring with a fast-break three, which was quickly answered by a Skidmore triple. Later on, Tobes and Kottka had a pair of scores, but the jumper from Kottka at the 2:01 mark was the last bucket of the game for Bard.

The Raptors have their final homestand next weekend, starting with a 5:30 p.m. tip against Ithaca on Friday.
