In the first quarter, Miller got the scoring started at the 9:18 mark. The teams exchanged threes, with Bard's coming from Martin. The Raptors held the Bombers without a field goal for 2:35, but Bard also was in a drought until a Kottka three made it 8-9 with 4:42 remaining. The squads were matched evenly throughout the period, and it was 15-14 Bard after one.

The second quarter had a pair of momentum swings. First, Ithaca gained a five-point lead at 25-20 about four minutes into the frame. The Raptors responded with an 11-2 run that was capped off by a Martin triple with 1:16 to play. Bard outscored Ithaca in points in the paint 8-4 in the quarter, leading to a four-point halftime lead, 31-27.

A Dixon triple 1:45 into the third quarter gave Bard a five-point advantage at 36-31. Ithaca relentlessly attacked the paint on the next handful of possessions, leading to layups and a one-point lead for the Bombers at 37-36. After a Tobes layup with 4:51 to play, the lead shifted to Bard again. Ithaca surged ahead towards the tail end of the quarter with a 12-0 run.

The Bombers extended the lead to 19 after eight straight points to start the fourth. Bard hit two threes in the quarter, but it wasn't enough, as the Ithaca bench outscored the Raptors 17-4 in the frame. Overall, the Bombers scored 25 points off turnovers to the Raptors' five.
