Mateo Betelu named to the Liberty League Honor Roll

| By:
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Bard College junior Mateo Betelu was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Betelu has been on a roll for the Raptors this week, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the 2-0 week. Betelu assisted the game-winning goal against Sarah Lawrence and scored himself afterwards, too. He went 2-for-3 in shots on goal and played the full 90 minutes.

Against Pratt, he assisted on the game-winning goal and converted the penalty kick. In the Pratt game, Betelu's assist came from a long pass (since he played center back) to Emmett Olson, who was able to chip the ball over the goalkeeper's head.
Betelu has already scored more goals and had more assists than he did in the past two seasons. He currently sits with five goals and four assists, which is a season career high.

This marks the second career Honor Roll for Betelu and his first one of the season.
