Women’s Tennis Recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team; Four Raptors recognized as Scholar Athlete

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— Four members of the Bard College women's tennis team were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 season. The team was also recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team.

The four students honored were first-years Patricia Santos, Jesse Radzik, junior Paige Houghton, and senior Maya Kelly. The team finished with a 3.65 GPA this academic year. 

First-year Patricia Santos is studying film and electronic arts. Santos played in 14 singles and 12 doubles matches in her first season. She recorded her first career singles win against Delhi. 

First-year Jesse Radzik has not declared her major. Radzik played at No. 3 singles in one match, No. 5 singles in nine matches, and No. 6 singles in four matches. She won six matches across singles and doubles. 

Junior Paige Houghton is majoring in psychology. Houghton played nine of 13 matches at No. 2 singles and played 11 matches at No. 1 doubles. She ranked second on the team in doubles wins. She is also a member of the CSC Academic All-District team.

Senior Maya Kelly is majoring in political studies. Kelly played the majority of the season at No. 1 singles, winning a team-leading five matches across No. 1 and No. 2 singles. She played at No. 1 doubles in 12 matches and played at No. 2 doubles in two matches. Kelly is also a member of the CSC Academic All-District team.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
