The Bard College baseball team dropped a Liberty League matchup at Skidmore, on Friday afternoon.
Bard and Skidmore were scoreless in the first two frames. The Raptors were limited to only five hits and a run. Skidmore opened their scoring run in the bottom of the third, fourth and fifth, with three runs in the third and fourth and five in the fifth. The Raptors scored in the top of the sixth with an RBI single by
Mike Lynch.
Kane Morgan started on the mound for Bard and threw 4.0 innings. Morgan struck out five batters, and gave up four earned runs.
Aidan Kiefer and
Nikhil Newman came out of the bullpen with Kiefer throwing 28 pitches, while Newman threw 1.1 innings with 35 pitches. Newman struck out two batters.
Jimmy Famularo,
Xavier Webb,
Jamie Fryer,
Jeremy Hall and Lynch each had a hit, with Famularo drawing two walks.
The Raptors will host Skidmore tomorrow for a doubleheader to close out the series—first pitch at 11 a.m.
