Lazaros Panagiotounis was named to the Liberty League Men's Basketball Honor Roll on Monday afternoon.
In a 1-1 week for the Raptors, Panagiotounis has stayed as the main offensive player for Bard. Panagiotounis struggled offensively against RPI in the first half (0-6 FG) but turned it around in the second half, scoring 15 points (5-11 FG) and adding seven rebounds, three steals and two assists.
In the win over Hobart, Panagiotounis played a lot better as he led the team with 23 points (9-16 FG, 56.3%) and nine rebounds. He has scored double-digit points in 20 of the 23 games (still has 2 games left), which ties his career-high that he set last season, and has already scored a career-high 409 points in a season (previous was 352 points in a season).
Panagiotounis currently sits 2nd in the league for scoring (17.8 ppg), 6th in FG% (35.6%), and 3rd in 3-pt FG per game (2.5).
It is Panagiotounis's third Honor Roll award this season and fourth in his career.
