ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College men's volleyball team swept the Fisher Falcons at Stevenson Athletic Center on Friday night.
Bard never trailed in the first set, as the team quickly got off to an 8-1 start.
Ansel Waisler swung for the fences and connected on two kills during this run. At 15-8, Bard strung together another 8-1 run and separated themselves for good. The Raptors had 12 kills on a .474 hitting percentage, adding eight digs and seven aces.
Sidney Stein had four aces in the first set.

Will Beane-Rosenberg) took it to the Falcons in the second set, as good passing allowed Bard to dictate play. Grisso and Ross had four kills each as the Raptors hit .591 as a team in the frame. The key moment in the set was at 10-7, when the Raptors pulled away after winning six straight points. At 20-10, Waisler rattled off three aces in the span of five points to close the set out on serve.
In the third set, Bard continued to put service pressure on the Falcons, winning the first four points. At 13-8, the Raptors won 10 of the next 12 points, getting contributions on offense from Ross, Waisler, Stein, and Beane-Rosenberg.
Gideon Jacob had five assists in the set, and the Raptors cruised to a 13-point victory.
The Raptors had a balanced offensive attack, with Waisler, Ross, Grisso, and Stein each recording 8+ kills. Waisler extended his double-digit kill streak to four matches, hitting 11 in the win.
Georgi Chikolov had a game-high 16 assists and six digs. Stein had a career high six aces, as the Raptors collected 20 in the match. The last time Bard hit at least 20 aces was March 3rd, 2023 at Lesley.
The Raptors will host UMSV and John Jay for a tri-match tomorrow at 10 a.m.
