| By:

The Bard College men's tennis team sent Nick Oh and Thanasis Kostikas into the singles draw, while Oh and Ivan Borshchev teamed up in the doubles draw of the ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday at Skidmore College's McCaffrey-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.

In first round action, Oh played the number one seed, Philip Martin from NYU, and took a game in the second set. Kostikas battled for a game in the first set but was eliminated by Villem Aadamsoo from Hamilton.

In the consolation stage, Oh defeated RPI's Siddharth Srinivasan in a nailbiter 8-6 pro-set. Kostikas, however, was knocked out of the consolation round by Achilleas Kousaridis from Hobart despite his best efforts.

Oh and Borshchev were unable to advance against RPI's duo of Tasmay Shah and Tsubasa Okada, then fell to Skidmore's Mustafa Ege Topbas and Kyle Lundberg.

Borshchev competed in the singles B draw on Thursday, where he dropped the first set to Baruch's Juan Paredes by just a single break. Borshchev earned five games total. In the consolation round the next day, Borshchev picked up two games against Joseph Xia from Rochester. Kostikas played doubles with Blake Kendall in the B draw, where they fought against Rochester's Rahul Ravi and Joshua Chu before winning by default in the consolation round.

The Raptors travel to Salve Regina on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m.
