ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard women's lacrosse team fought hard, but came up short against nationally-ranked William Smith, falling by a 25-1 score.
Bard notched their first goal of the game from
Gwendolyn Jamison in the third quarter with 5 minutes left to get the Raptors on the scoreboard.
Emerson Embrey ended the game with two ground balls with fellow Raptors
Gloria Tucker,
Gwyn Downey,
Paige Gregg,
Maggy Peyton,
Izzi Popolizio, and
Morgan Ruhle picking up a ground ball each. On face-offs,
Maya Junkins led Bard with four draw controls.
Lexie Blackburn finished the game with 8 saves.
William Smith won the face-off battle against Bard, 15-13.
The Raptors travel to Troy, N.Y. to face RPI in a conference match next Friday at 4 pm.
