Box Score The Bard men's tennis team opened its spring season with a 9-0 victory over SUNY Delhi on Saturday afternoon at the Stevenson Athletic Center courts.
In the team's first action since late September, the Raptors started strong, winning all three doubles points before continuing the dominance in singles play.
Four of Bard's six singles players won 6-0, 6-0;
Thanasis Kostikas and
Kai O'Donnell at #1 and #2,
Joas Erasmus at #4, and
Yashar Khan at #6.
Sam Marcus gave up only three games in his straight sets win at #3, while
Faisal Jones gave up four games in his straight sets win at #5.
The match was the first game and win for Interim Head Coach
Theo Laport '16.
The team will be back in action at the end of March break when the team visits Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday, March 23.
